The Rec Room progress

We are making great progress on Rick's room. We painted the red stripe after he assembled the Ikea shelves. We have some of his memorabilia hung and displayed.

We are still awaiting shelves which will be painted and hung on the stripe and will display his baseball hats...all 40 of them!

He's in all his glory with his remote control, satellite dish, and surround sound!

And this little cutie has nothing to do with our post, but she looks so cute in her ruffled blue jeans, I had to throw in one of her! Lots of giggles and smiles these days, and she seems to be doing great at the sitters. She even did great for Grandpa Ward babysitting her yesterday all day. Oh..gotta run..someone's awake! ta!

Either that or she's so excited to show off her new hat that she's gettin' her groove on! Now dance...you know you want to!

Hello kitty!

Ever since Mommy's cousin Linda bought this outfit, we've been waiting for the day that Caroline could fit into it! Well, wait no longer! There's one ornery looking cat under that hat!

Here's our alert little girl...pretty kitty!

Just as cute without the hat...we like to remember that there's hair under there!

Taking over the house?

I had to laugh when I looked up to see my living room has been taken over by babyland! Rick and I were just relaxing on opposites sides of the room this week after I put Caroline to bed and I looked up and said- look at our house! It's funny how much they take over your lives! It's all good- we wouldn't have it any other way!

And who else takes over the house? This one! We've been to the vet more than we care to in the past 48 hours...3 trips, one overnight stay for Tilly, and after she'd been home about 10 minutes we promptly returned to get the 'cone'! She had a little ear surgery to drain her ear and promptly tried to paw at and shake off her dressing within minutes of being home. Blood droplets spattering on new carpet does not make for a fun evening! We called in the sitters, wrapped our bleeding mutt in a beach towel and returned to the vet to get the cone and her ear rewrapped. And again, the offer is there...anyone want a dog?? I actually feel sorry for the poor thing as she is pretty miserable and now running into walls and steps with her new cone head. I think she's earned herself a new toy after this little adventure! Ugh- not exactly how we had planned to spend our Friday night!

Monkey See, Monkey Do!

I picked up this monkey outfit at a yard sale last summer, and we decided to try it out today.

My monkey is all smiles!

And she can even act like a monkey and get those legs going. Still jazzercising daily- I caught her in action lifting those legs up high!

Perhaps we like the hat off better- wonder how long til this ends up in her mouth??

She's thinking about it here...still satisfied with the fingers for now!
And voila! In the mouth it goes. We've even furrowed the brow to concentrate on this task! Have you ever seen a monkey this cute?

Back to work(sigh!)

Well, it's official! I'm back to work. Ugh. I do love being around adults again, but I sure miss my daily babblings, feedings, diapers, and cuddles. I will do my best to keep blogging, but it may lag for awhile while I focus on catching up on kisses and cuddles daily! I only cried 3 times today between 5 am and 8 am. I'm not telling you how many times I cried this week, prior to 5am, and after 8 am....just know that I'm keeping my friends at Kleenex in business! I was welcomed at work today by many well wishes, flowers, a balloon that says "Woo Hoo!", Diet Dr. Pepper, homemade cookies, and many wonderful hugs. I guess I will make it after all! I'm sporting my charm bracelet today that Rick bought me for my birthday last summer....and today we've added the first charm to it, and it simply says 'Mom'. Enough said!

Fashion Parade!

Since our girl is growing we have no choice...we must consult her 3-6 month wardrobe! Loving this warm set with fur trim from Grandpa Smith! She's so cozy! And cozy seems to be the theme..how about a little pink velour set with navy trim? It even has ruffles on the butt! Thanks, "Aunt Jodi!"

And how about a few polka-dots?
I think she looks like ice cream in this sweater- or good enough to eat! Note, she still has a rattle on her arm. Yes, Kelly- I do think it's bling!

And here she is in my favorite suit! I love that little naked butt! She's getting ready for lotion following her nightly bath. There will be more fashion shots to come- she has quite the wardrobe started! Just thought we'd tease you with a sneak peek!

A little bit of everything!

Friend Tracey helps get Caroline ready for her bath! She came to visit us last week and we dined together and had a nice visit.

This is what it looks like when you're drugged up on Tylenol after two shots and a visit to the doctor..zonked!

And I captured this cute shot of her today- all smiles and happy and sporting a ladybug bracelet! It seems to be her favorite toy right now as she always reaches for it when it's hanging on her activity gym. It's just the right size to get that arm through!

This is why I love my husband!

...well it's one reason among many. Who does this? He is a pro bottle-washer- and he has it down to a science because it's even color coded! All like items grouped together...I guess it's just one of his little organization exercises! But seriously, when I wash them they are in one big heap! I love that he volunteers to wash them so I can get some sleep, and what I love even more is waking up to this! I guess it's the little things we learn to appreciate!

Stats update!

What will my friends and family do with a pictureless post? Since I just posted a long set yesterday, I thought I'd add what our doc had to say today. Caroline is 13 lb 1oz and 24 inches long as of today! She's in the 75% for both and also for her head circumference! I guess that means she's perfectly proportioned! The doctor couldn't believe how alert she was. She's very advanced because (but we already knew that!!) she already rolls over and laughs out loud. At this rate, we'll have her ready for college next week! The only stressful part of our visit was the shots- I think I cried more than she did!

THREE MONTHS!

Our little angel is three months today! Gosh it's going too fast!

And keeping with tradition, Caroline and Mommy had a photo shoot to commemorate the big day!

This month is all about discovery. Caroline has discovered her legs and feet. Since it's winter she rarely gets a chance to free those piggy toes and enjoy her feet, but today she was all about grabbing for those toes!

And let's not forget our hands and fists! I'm loving the little hand propped on her knee here too!
