More Home Improvements

Here's the kitchen curtain that Wendy made. She's got so many talents- I'm grateful she's so willing to help share them with me!
The master bedroom is finally starting to come together. We have a mirror and a few pictures on the walls now, and a ceiling fan installed in both the bedroom and the living room.

We commissioned friend Bob Carson to build some shelves for the nursery and the rec room. I love that we can now display some of her things on the wall- and every time I take her past the display she grins from ear to ear! I guess she likes it too!
And the most exciting change for Rick has been the addition of his 'hat' shelves! Now his hats from all of the ballparks are displayed according to their team standings in the league(geek!) I must admit it does look nice and I'm thrilled that he has his space. He's waited so long to display these items, it's nice he can finally enjoy it. Come on over and see it for yourself sometime! The next big project - a patio!

How big is Caroline?

That's all you need to ask! And this is what you get....sooooooooooo big! She's quick to offer those hands up and smile to show off how big she is. What a ham. Here's a few images of others trying to get her to show off!
Showing Ellie!
And Will showing Caroline how it's done!
Showing Grandpa!
And sometimes I get so excited to show off even if I have toys in my hands! We're so proud -can you tell?

Dancing with Aunt Jill

This is what happens when you give your daughter to your sister in the hotel room while getting the bath water ready....
Hands on the hips!
And above your head!
I'm not sure who enjoyed it more or who was the bigger goof, but I love this pic. Look at their expressions! Aunt Jill had Caroline going for several minutes. Sillly girls!

A trip to Iowa!

Our little traveling girl has once again proven how good she is! What a joy she was to have along. Laurie and Caroline made the two day trek to Iowa with Grandma & Grandpa Ward in tow. Jill joined Wendy & family and joined us the following day. We enjoyed visiting with relatives and seeing Grandma Ankerstjerne. Our visit was bittersweet as we lost Uncle Baxter on July 4th. It was an emotional and long week. I know I'm glad to be back home for awhile. Here are some highlights from our visit.

Grandma Ankerstjerne with her Ohio girls! She's 96!
Here's a picture of the whole crew! Caroline enjoyed meeting her Great Grandma as much as Grandma enjoyed meeting her! Caroline is exploring her face here.
The next day Grandma wanted to hold her. It was so sweet to see them together.
Look at these three monkeys that rode the elevator on a luggage cart!
American Gothic? Someone was just the right size to pose!
Giggling at Grandma!
How about this American Gothic?
Gene & Kristy were our gracious hosts our first night. We always have a good time with them. We missed Rick not being along for the ride.
Gene helped fill in and enjoyed spoiling Caroline!

A kiss for Grandma! Love it!

A girl for any wardrobe!

This is how my Mommy dressed me this week...
And this is how my Daddy dressed me...Hey, at least she's pretty agreeable! It won't be long til she's telling us what to wear, ...and what she's refusing to wear! For now, we'll keep her just like this. We happen to think she's pretty cute even in just a diaper!

Splashin' in the baby pool!

It's a beautiful day for a dip in the pool!
She seems to love the water- even if it's a bit cool, and she's dippin' without a swimsuit this time.
Just what is this big plastic thing, Mommy?
Check out that tongue!
Here's her latest move...clapping! She puts the bottom part of her hands together and claps very daintily, and she thinks she's all that!
It's fun when Daddy splashes that water around!
And now the pool is in the shade..and we're still smiling and having a ball!
Time to dry off! There's time for more pool play tomorrow!

Monkey in my Bed!

Look what was in my bed today!
After nap we stopped on Mommy & Daddy's bed to play for a bit and get dressed. As you can see, we had a lot of fun just snapping pictures!
Here's those gorgeous eyes! I had class all week, and missed out on all the fun, so I had to make up for it by playing a bit today!
Our giggly, happy, ticklish girl!

After I snapped this pic, we had exhausted the camera battery...I can't imagine how that happened! Time to reload!
