Happy 4th!

Here's a rundown of our day, in reverse order...
We finished a very fun day seeing Leah perform at the Dublin fireworks (after Earth, Wind, and Fire!)  She sang the National Anthem and she was the bomb!
Just a few members of the Leah fan club...

She's on that stage!

We're in the stands(a challenge in and of itself!) and we're ready to listen!

Some of us got a nap in prior to the fireworks...
No one in the family had any plans for earlier in the day so we hosted an impromptu cookout.
Lucy shows off her new 'bracelets'...

These 'bracelets' are really for beer bottle identification...we told her they said "Pretty Princess".
Matt photo bombs Rick's sparkler picture.
The cousins head to the yard for a pile up!

 Caroline helps Leah play cornhole.

The kids had lots of fun

Leah, looking all calm and collected before her big evening performance!

Sparkler fun
And we started the day with a parade..at our old stomping grounds on W. 5th St.

Dad enjoyed visiting with his old neighbors.
Keith helped the girls collect candy.
Friend Mike Rose stopped by to enjoy the parade with us.

And here we are, invading Mom's space awaiting our big day of fun!

Ellie stays overnight! First sleepover!

Who knew that cousin Ellie spending the night would be so much fun for these girls?
They were on cloud 9.  We had pizza and ice cream, watched a movie, did playdough, art...
We made waffles, played American girl dolls, barbies, little people....
And we finished the morning out with cloud dough!
It was a blast.  My girls are still talking about it.
Poor Caroline woke Ellie too early, but otherwise it was a hit!
And Lucy is ready to do it all again so she can have a turn with Ellie in her room!

Office cleaning

While I attempt to clean my office, My helpers host a tea party.
The guests of honor enjoy their seat at the tea party.
Looks like pizza is on the menu.
So cute!  Love seeing their creative minds at work.
Jingle kitty inspects from her place of honor as well.

Sigh.  My helpers seemed to have put me farther behind.
The finished product!  Whew!  The closet is actually where the most progress was made.  It feels good to have tackled that.  I wonder how long it will stay like this.

Random cell phone pics

Peace.  This is what happens when you're tired and you have a glow necklace in the car.
Hanging out with the 'monsters' at WalMart!
My monkey!
Cousin Ellie squeezes into a mini coupe!
A visit to Dutch Mill Greenhouse!
Snuggle time!  I miss these days!

Home improvements

33 bags of mulch, 4 bags of rock, paint touch ups, and a painted mailbox post...
Here's hoping the rocks don't wash away in heavy rains like the mulch did!

And here are our little um, helpers?
Practicing their 'mulch laying' skills?
Whew.  This home ownership thing is work!  But it looks great and feels great to have it all spruced up!
