Art project!

Cutest scarecrow ever!

Caroline had her first preschool homework due this week - crafting a scarecrow!
She had a ball!
How do you think we did?

I dressed myself

Someone insisted on wearing her Minnie Mouse pajamas the other morning.
I guess it didn't seem to bother her that she already had something on.

Very content indeed.   She stayed like this for a few hours until she decided she'd like to take them off.  Goof. Ball.

Why exactly do I feed her chicken and noodles?

Sigh.
Because not only does she prefer to eat it off the table....
She also prefers to "paint" with it.
Uggh.

Caterpillar

What could be more fun - than the discovery of this little visitor?

It was nice of the girls to pull of parts of our mum for the little guy to climb on, huh?
He was a hit with the neighbors, too!
Everyone had an opportunity to hold our new little friend, but Lucy did it best.  Everyone else wanted to drop him - she was just fascinated enough to keep him there a while.  Fun discovery!

Dinner with Smith's

What a treat it was to have Papa Smith and Uncle Chuck join us for dinner recently!

The girls just ate up all the extra attention.

It was a hot and steamy afternoon, but we had a great time.

Wish our visit could have been longer- we must do it again before summer ends.  We love our Smith family - time spent with them is precious!

Homecoming Football Game

Dad's health has been a struggle this summer, so we were glad to be able to take him out to the game tonight.  We didn't stay too long - the weather took over, but at least we all got to see Leah walk out for homecoming court.
Hannah was cheering her big sister on from the sidelines!
And she had her own supporters in the stands!

Here she is!  Our own favorite homecoming candidate!  We're so proud of you Leah!

And here are the king and queen - they've got nothing on you girl!

Preschooler!

Could she be any more excited?
 Or any cuter?
I'd say she's ready for preschool...
...but are they ready for her?
She could hardly contain her excitement.
Our big girl is going to afternoon preschool twice a week, and attending the Latchkey program.  It's her first time away from a home environment for the whole day.  I think she adjusted much better than her momma did!

And here she is during her 'mini visit' to see her teacher and classroom!
Yes, I think she's got this all figured out!
And here she is with Miss Frisch.
Yes, I think these two are going to get along just fine!

Beachy Photo Shoot

I couldn't be more thrilled with how these turned out.  Ever since I found these two dresses fit my girls, I wanted to take them to the beach for a girly photo shoot in the sand.
With Lucy, of course, it is LITERALLY in the sand...
But her big sis helped reel her sister in and we managed to get some cute shots.

I have so many faves.  It's hard to pick just one.

There are some pretty cute outtakes showing off their personalities, but for the most part, I'm thrilled!  Maybe they could stay this cute and agreeable.. forever??
