Christmas Eve

Santa comes tonight!  We are pumped and excited!

Taking a moment to discuss what this means!

After church we stopped by the impressive display in New California.
And Caroline chose cookies for Santa.
And she wanted him to have juice to go with the cookies!
And you may have to click on the image to read it, but here's her first letter to Santa.  Fingers crossed for lots of surprises!  Merry Christmas!

Crafting with Daddy

Daddy was lucky to have the two days before Christmas off, so we requested his help with our gingerbread house craft.

While the actual construction of our $1.97 craft was a bit frustrating for him, he played along quite well.
And in the end, we learned that a little tape will hold anything!
Lucy is admiring the finished product.  I guess she approves!  Thanks, Daddy, for the fun morning!

A Smith Christmas

Caroline could hardly wait for her cousin Brady to arrive!

And Lucy enjoys the day, too!  I love the face she's giving her Aunt Lori here!
A new Minnie Mouse!  It's as big as you, Caroline!
Looks like Brady takes after his Uncle Rick!
A new hooded towel!

And one for you, too, Lucy!
Lori sorts the crayons back in to piles.  Good job, Lori!
Lucy plays on her new xylophone.
And check out that look for the camera!  What a goof!

Cookies!

Someone could hardly wait to help with icing the cookies this year!
This smile says it all!
Such concentration!  And this year she actually was careful not to lick her fingers between every cookie!
The results!  Tasty!

Ho Ho Ho

What is almost as fun as Santa coming to town?
Why making Santa beards in the tub, of course!
Ho- ho - ho!  The fat man is on his way!

Gettin' Crafty

So, I guess this all started when the babysitter said she didn't have any holiday shirts.
Feeling oh-so-ambitious, I helped orchestrate a wreath shirt for her, made with the handprints of all her kiddos.  Very cute - very fun.
But then I realized my girls didn't really have many festive things of their own to wear, so...
We decided to create our own, since I already had the paint!
I think our creations turned out pretty cute.  In fact, I had the girls make me one also - with two reindeer.  Lucy formed the antlers, and Caroline formed the legs and tail.  In hindsight, I probably should have made myself a tree - the placement of their 'hands' on my shirt appear to look like I'm getting 'felt up'. But, I love it anyway.  Sorry, no photos of it here!  This is just the beginning of many days of holiday crafting. We've had loads of fun. Stay tuned!

Random Holiday Fun

I guess you could say they're all snuggled in for a long winter's nap???

How about some sibling admiration?

Or some cheesy smiles because we're eating cheesy fish?

And our Christmas break started with some snow - Tilly brought much of it in on her fur!  What fun to see the snow while we have visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads!

Daddy fun!

We love it when Daddy gets on the floor to play!
Here he's teaching his girls to roll the ball.

How about some fun with antlers on her head?
Note Lucy is  still holding tight to her "Sophie"!

Or a green hat on my head?

It doesn't matter - it's always fun when we're together!
