The Tampa Zoo!

So we renewed our Columbus Zoo membership prior to leaving Ohio - just so we could enjoy some of the scenic sites on our trip!  We LOVED this zoo.  Absolutely my favorite zoo ever.  It was so nice to see the animals up close and I felt like it was easy to get around the place.  The girls loved it too!  Definitely a must-do on our next trip south.

The carousel was a hit - we had to go twice around at the start of our trip, and twice again later on!  Lucy kept asking for the 'horsey' ride!

Zebras!  The Columbus zoo has moved its zebras and giraffes to the Wilds, so it was a special treat to see them here.  I was giddy!
Giraffes!

Up close!
We could feed the giraffes here - how awesome is that?

Elephant family!  This baby was only two months old.

The penguins were fun to watch.  It was like they knew that they should put on a show for us.

Look, Ma!  No hands!

Someone posing as a Monkey on display!  Fitting!
 Loving on the sculpture

Um, not so sure about the actual one on display!
And a final stop at the gift shop - for a giraffe, and zebra of course!

Zonked out enroute home - this didn't take long!
It was a great day!  Zzzzzzzzz

Just Beachy!

We made it!  We're here!!!!!  Woo-hoo!  I was so happy to see the sun and the sand.  Boy, did I need this.  It was a long hike with the girls, but they did great!
We spent the day at Sand Key Beach, FL - lots of sand, shells, and waves!

And we all had a blast!
Lucy was fearless.  Here she decided to just plop herself down in the sand for a bit.  What a goof.  Could she be any cuter?

Caroline made herself right at home looking for shells, and making new friends.

I had to play around with the camera - love this shot.  It was a great day at the beach.  I wanna go back - now!

Park Play

On our way to Florida we found a park and stopped to eat our packed lunch.
Lucy napped on our way there and was ready for some fun!
Someone else is all smiles!  It's a gorgeous day in Georgia, and we're enjoying it!

I believe we were at the Georgia Veterans'  State Park - near Cordele, GA.
It was lovely - but I don't care to go back anytime soon.  It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere -I think we were- and I was anxious to get to FL!  But, it was a nice break in our day!

Fun with the Georgia clan!

Here's Kamden - in his pirate attire - perfect for Easter Sunday, don't you think?
The girls had a ball playing with someone their own size.
And Caroline took to Keili immediately.  She kept asking for her.

This car sure was a hit.  Kam can drive that thing better than I could!
Sigh.  This picture ages me.  Jump forward 14 years, and she's off to the prom!
 She had a ball!

After a few spins around the culdesac, she decided she should drive.  Um, ...no.
 Bubbles were more our speed!
Or how about a chance to shoot a nerf gun at the ceiling?  Boy toys are FUN!
Lucy wanted in the car too!  These two managed better when it was in park!
And Lucy decided to mow the grass.  Um, good thing it's not in need of a mowing, cuz I'm pretty sure it isn't going to get mowed like that.  What a fun day!
