This was the setting of our outdoor party! We surprised my parents with a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party and also celebrated Dad's 75th. Both of these big events happen later this fall, so we decided to surprise them with a party now. It was a perfect summer evening with family and friends.
This gorgeous boquet arrived as an added surprise from our Iowa family. It was a beautiful touch.
A good time was had by all!
Caroline enjoyed mingling with the guests. This was the first time many of them met her. Here she is with Mica, a long time family friend.
And she was also charming my Aunt Dar.
Another surprise- friend Jan Thompson flew home from Florida for the festivities! Dad was blown away.
Dad's high-school buddies- Dan Lister and Wayne Heineman had a great time telling old stories.
Mom's best friend Betty and her brother Joe. Their arrival brought mom to tears!
Aunt Bea came from Gallipolis. It was a lovely night indeed.
And here we are- enjoying every minute of the event. And still trying to recover afterwards!

That's wonderful! Congrats to your parents!! Isn't great? My parents just celebrated their 50th with a dream trip to Niagra Falls. It's so good to hear of others who are celebrating their 50th! Again congrats to your parents!
